OWA offers online Professional Learning Unit courses for Georgia Educators; course topics range from Problem Based Learning to the contributions of African Americans to Georgia’s history and culture. We also assist community based groups to develop online problem-based forums intended to define and resolve issues within their respective communities.
Our software products include the award winning Black Studies 101 interactive CD; The Life Lecture Series; and Introduction to Academic Writing, a useful tool for writers at all levels.
Our documentaries include the highly acclaimed “When Blacks Succeed: The 1906 Atlanta Race Riot;” the instructive oral histories titled “Black Women Talking,” a series of interviews with African American women who have made important contributions to their respective communities; and “The Katrina Journals: Oral Histories of Gulf Coast Survivors.”
